What people are saying
about The Taking
There is a problem with The Taking by Dona Masi. It is too convincing a story of alien abduction. I read this ultra-vivid tale and cannot be convinced that it is not a true story or based on personal knowledge of alien abduction.
— Tom Paine, author of the NY Times Notable Book of the year "Scar Vegas" and finalist for the Pen/Hemingway award
The Taking, finds a most interesting way to bridge two very different worlds: the quaint New England village of Pangea, New Hampshire, and a place of uncertain location, light years away from the planet John Diparma and his daughter, Vera, call home.
— Ross Alan Bachelder, author of “Revenge: Tales Best Read in the Twilight Hours”
On the surface, The Taking by Dona Masi is about a young girl's experiences with out of this world beings. On a deeper level, it is a coming-of age story that explores trust, relationships, and learning difficult truths. The Taking will leave readers wanting more new works by this talented author.
